Police are examining after a 51-year-old guy was fatally struck by an automobile in Clarington over the weekend.
Prior to 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, officers with Durham Regional Police Service were contacted us to Regional Highway 2 east of Stapleton Road after getting a report of a departed male in a ditch.
“Officers got here on scene and situated the male in the south ditch. Based upon the injuries, private investigators had the ability to figure out that the departed male had actually been struck eventually by an eastbound automobile,” cops stated in a release.
Cops state the male was strolling on the side of the road throughout a snowfall that happened after 6 p.m. on Saturday when he was struck.
Detectives are looking for any dashcam video associated to the event, especially along Highway 2 in between Morgans Road and Reids Road in between Saturday and Sunday.
Update: An earlier variation of the story mentioned the male was 31 years of ages, according to a cops release. Cops now state he was 51 years of ages.
